Edited: I used the brush-on effect. To do this I place a white mask over the picture in photoshop. I brought the picture back by painting with a black paintbrush.

Edited: I used the double faded border. In photoshop I added to the canvas to get the border. I made the inner border using a shape layer and blurring motion.
I love these borders! The brushed-on effect in the first photo enhances the focal point, and the font you used is perfect. The sky in the second shot looks beautiful, and the border draws attention to that. Great job.
